De Eems is a Friesch Tjalkship built in Gastmeer, Friesland in 1911. The boat has been in Ireland since 1966 and is part of the Heritage Collection here. It has travelled the waterways extensively including boat Royal and Grand Canals. The boat is laid out, as you enter it from the stern, with a spacious saloon, with an incredible amount of storage. Following through the door from the saloon you reach the galley which has a table that seats four and a couch which pulls out into a double bed.
