The Lady Kate began her life in 1970 in Dunstone Yard in Hull, she was working as a fishing trawler for long period. Her original name is Rosamunda.
She was bought in 1999 by a nice couple, they converted her for a passenger boat. She was used for commercial purposes as a diving boat, and as an expedition boat.
The Lady Kate was regularly used to support charity challenges and has previously supported a list of celebrities including Richard Branson and his Virgin team to swim from Holyhead to Dublin.
She also provided safety support cover for kayaking in 2014 when the Beeline Britain team completed the first ever straight-line journey from Land’s End to John O’Groats, a total of 1,100km, including the longest open sea kayak crossing in UK waters; 34 hours of non-stop kayaking over 200km.
She was also be used as a filming platform during different events.
She was on ITV, two films were made on about Britain`s sharks and whales.
In last season she worked as a B&B in Kinsale, Ireland. She got 8.6 score on booking.com, she was very popular.
In the middle of May she arrived back (with a 47 hours journey) to south UK, Porthsmouth.
The cabins and bathrooms were refurbished 2 years ago. All rooms have thermal insulation.
There are 10 cabins on board: 4 cabins with bunk beds, 3 single cabins, 1 double with own bathroom (en suite), 1 crew room with 2 beds and there is also an office with a single bed.
There are 3 bathrooms and 4 toilets.
The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, 4 plate ceramic hob, fridges etc
