Raider 18 Wheelhouse Concept

The Raider 18 is a safe, practical craft that will perform in all conditions. The heavy reverse chine hull offers excellent sea keeping qualities with a comfortable dry ride, and will tackle the roughest waters. Attractive styling with an emphasis on practicality, the Raider 18 maximises available space. The integral wheelhouse and exceptional freeboard combine to give designed-in safety and protection from the elements. The cleverly incorporated cabin area allows for a multitude of uses to suit your requirements. With a vast 52sq ft cockpit floor area leading to the low entry swim platform the Raider 18 shows its versatile pedigree.

Raider 18 Wheelhouse Construction

Highly skilled and dedicated craftsmen pride themselves in using cutting-edge technology with traditional methods, resulting in a product that boasts a full two year warranty and maintains their position at the forefront of the industry. The Raider 18 is built using isothalic gel coats (a barrier to osmosis) and bi-axial cloth, which is stitched to chopped strand mat. This makes for a lighter, stronger boat that will absorb mechanical shock far better than conventional materials. During lamination, the cloth is overlapped by 8" on the keel and bilges, giving double the thickness and greater strength. The decks and cabin lockers are bonded into place whilst the hull is still in the mould. This holds the hull in shape and provides correct stress loading throughout, both prior to being released, and from then on.
