Shannondoah is a remarkable Project 31, the forerunner of what was soon to be called Princess Yachts.
While she retains the true classic lines of her era, she offers the home comforts and manoeuvrability of her current generation sisters at considerably less cost.
As can be seen in the photographs (all taken during April 2025) her original gel coat is still in remarkable condition.
She had a complete refit by Planraft Marine during 2009.
The rear cockpit area provides comfortable seating both while underway or perhaps an alfresco evening cocktail or two.
The rear seating can also be used as an extra small double bed for nights under the stars, (young at heart only), or with the canopy up, blow heater on, a more realistic and comfortable environment for, shall I say, the more mature..
The main cabin features warm air heating (diesel)
TV and Radio with CD player
Coffee maker.
Large single sofa / bed.
Ample power points, USB outlets and storage throughout.
The dinette converts to a double bed.
The galley comprises a sink with cold and hot water on demand.
A gas oven and hob
Topside, there is a three way fridge (gas, mains and 12volt) with a small ice box.
The toilet or Heads if you prefer in addition to normal features has an excellent shower.
The WC connects to a selectable holding tank to comply with river regulations.
The forward cabin has two large single beds.
At the helm, the Morse levers control the two very economical Captain marine diesels.
A powerful Bow Thruster aids docking.
As an added convenience the Laurence electric windlass makes anchoring effortless.
At the stern, there is a small bathing platform and a pair of davit arms for dingy mounting.
A survey has been completed and will be available for inspection.
