Hunter Impala 28 OOD “Huntress” is for sale. Berth in Greystones Marina included to Sept
Huntress is a well maintained, well raced, Hunter Impala. She is competitive in local racing in Greystones SC, winning both the Midweek Series and Championship Series in 2025. In 2024 she placed 1st Midweek, 1st Championship. She also placed 2nd in fixed in both midweek and championship competitions. Huntress also placed 2nd in the Taste of Greystones Regatta in 2024 and 2025.
She has been with the current owners for 5 seasons and each winter she has been taken out of the water and upgraded / worked on.
In 2024 the hull below the waterline was stripped back to gelcoat, sanded, faired and 4 coats of two pack epoxy were applied as well as two coats of underwater primer and two of antifoul. The keel was also taken back to bare metal treated with rust preventer, epoxied, primed and antifouled. New washboards (mahogany, painted) new lifelines, new running rigging, were installed. Rudder has been extended as per Mark 2 Version.
Her vast sail wardrobe (increased each year with excellent second hand primarily laminate sails – includes a newly acquired and modified main (excellent condition) and No1 Banks laminate 150% jib in excellent condition, a Goacher 150% No1 jib – not used by us, No 2 and No 3 headsails recently acquired and modified as required. Sails are now hanked-on after being converted from foil (the foil is also included if the new owner wants to use foil sails).
She has 4 spinnakers, two class spinnakers attached above the jib and 2 light wind spinnaker (up to 10 knots) attached at the masthead, (not for class racing but great for mixed classes!) all in very good condition.
Outboard motor in well is a 6HP Mariner four stroke, recently (and annually) professionally serviced in excellent condition. It has an integral tank and larger 12l tank in an adjacent locker.
New “kitchen area” include sink, tap, water container, worktop and drawers, however no fixed hob / burner
Living quarters include a separate fore cabin which has a double berth with infill and two berths in the main cabin. She has all the cushions etc but has been used primarily for racing – but could easily be cruised. Separate heads fitted with working sea toilet – serviced (new seals, gaskets etc) in the Spring 2025 year (not used since!).
Forehatch replaced with polycarbonate and new seals this season.
