Own a Piece of Ireland’s Inland Waterways History
Step aboard the Knocknagow, a breathtaking barge steeped in history and restored to the highest standard. Built circa 1910, she proudly served as a working vessel on the River Suir/Slaney and remains a stunning symbol of Ireland’s rich maritime heritage.
Powered by a JCB J444 84HP engine installed in 2009 with hydraulic steering and a bow thruster, she glides through the water with ease.
Discreet solar panels (installed 2023) provide eco-friendly energy.
Insulated, featuring a Morso wood-burning stove and Eberspacher central heating to keep you warm in every season.
The light-filled wheelhouse offers stunning views and space for dining, while a staircase leads to a beautifully designed galley/salon with a modern kitchen (installed 2022). A generous WC / shower room – equipped with a holding tank.
A luxurious king-size master cabin with ample storage, plus an additional bow cabin undergoing renovation, ready to be transformed into a cozy double bunk.
Enjoy the expansive aft deck, perfect for alfresco dining, barbecues, or simply relaxing while taking in the waterway views. The wide, secure decks and large forward deck with hydraulic anchor enhance both safety and convenience.
This is more than just a barge—it’s a floating home, and a unique piece of Irish history.
