E-BOAT mini-tonner '202' Enchantress
Fully restored and active E-BOAT for sale.
Reluctant sale of much loved yacht.
I have owned her now for 5 years and has provided enormous amount of pleasure and adventure to myself and crews. She's been actively sailed (racing/day-weekend cruising, picnic-ing at harbour or anchor). She excellent in light airs responsive to the lightest vespers, and can be very exciting in strong airs: we have recorded 12+ knots with the kite in 25+knot breeze !). I've also single handed her easily in 30+ knots/swell, with deep reefs with no problems, so quite capable of looking after crew.
It's time I move on unfortunately and pass this fantastic boat to another. Sale price does not reflect the cost and time. She is ready for a new owner and adventures. With active fleets in Dublin-Clontarf, and Skerries, there's plenty of class-support and enthusiasm here in Ireland, where new skippers to fleets are welcomed and supported. I am most certain she will give her next skipper as much joy as I have had.
An iconic IOR mini-tonner from the pen of Julian Everitt.
Very versatile easily-managed boat ideal with crew of 3-4. but still very sailable with 1-2.
Great Racing boat – COMPETITIVE under IRC
(an eboat won the 'IRC' ICRA Nationals only a few years ago)
Light displacement capable of competing against newer and larger yachts.
Sail plan (mast headed) is easily managed with a range of fore-sails, and easily-reefed mainsail (should take 40sec to reef or shake out).
Enchantress has benefitted from continuous improvements and extensive maintenance regime. She is fully-restored and structurally sound.
Class-approved HIGHLY DESIREABLE Mark2 (post-Fastnet) keel
Same weight, with Lower Centre-of-gravity
Markedly improved Stability
Excellent in strong airs with Spinny.
Weapon upwind !
