Drascombe Lugger 2004 £6,500
2004 Drascombe Lugger in excellent condition. Unusual burgundy hull, I understand that this was the boat displayed at the Boat Show in 2004 by Churchhouse. Very little used in recent years and she has retained her charm. All masts, spars and oars are in good nick, as are the sails, all sheets and ropes, anchor and chain. Original Devon Lugger built by Honor Marine in December 2000 and co owned since Feb 2004. Unfortunately my co-owner was taken by cancer last year so, at 74, i feel less able to manage the boat. The Drascombe Lugger is considered one of the most versatile trailer-sailer boats of all time. Safe, stable, easy to launch and retrieve and great fun to sail.
"Sapphire" is a really interesting example. the hull was supplied by Churchhouse Boats with the rest of the construction, 'home built' to what appears to be a very high standard. Everywhere there are indications of 'only the best will do'. For example, the masts are made of carbon fibre, the standing rigging, dyneema and the R & J Sails (in excellent shape) battened and colour coded to match the hull.
