“September Song” This Broom Ocean 30 is offered for sale and is presently located at the Corrib Rowing and Yachting Club, Galway. It is a well appointed vessel with many extras. It has been maintained meticulously by the present owner a former Ships Engineer Officer who is now reluctantly retiring. The vessel has been in the same ownership for 15 years. The vessel itself is a round-bilged displacement cruiser and is quite capable of seagoing journeys. The accommodation layout consists of five berths, two in the forward cabin, a dinette-cum-double in the saloon and a single berth in the aft cabin, all cabins are heated by a ducted Wallis Hot Air System. A new Thornycroft T105 (twin alternator) Marine Diesel is fitted, the engine hours are 500. Propulsion is via a Borg-Warner gearbox coupled to a Halyard CVB10-10 Aquadrive. The propeller shaft is 316L Marine grade stainless steel, as is the rudder. The electrics are provided by two 115Ah leisure batteries for services and one 100Ah for engine starting, a Sterling Marine Charger is fitted in the battery compartment. The vessel is also wired for 230 volt Shore supply. The following comprehensive navigation electronics are fitted : ICOM vhf radio. Garmin 250C Sonar/Fishfinder (Colour). Garmin GPS 152 Trackplotter. Interphase Probe (Forward Looking Sonar).
