| Sailing Yachts: For Sale: Westerly GK24 Gaelic Kiwi |

Built by Westerly in 1979 Gaelic Kiwi is fractionally rigged and in very good condition. Primarily used for racing it is semi fitted out below. Gaelic Kiwi is stored ashore under cover every winter. Gaelic Kiwi was not sailed in 2009.
Gaelic Kiwi has raced successfully in the Dun Laoghaire Cruiser 3 class and is very competitive. In 2005 she beat 40 boats to win Class 3 in the Dun Laoghaire Regatta Championships (ECHO). Gaelic Kiwi has an endorsed IRC Cert – TCC 0.855.
Sails – Full set of racing sails by Watson including Main (2007), Nos 1 (2004), 3 (2005) , 4 (2004), storm jib (2004) and spinnaker (2002) – all in excellent condition. Lots of older sails in good condition including No 2 and Banks spinnaker. Boom cover.
Electronics – Solarex solar panel, regulator, Vetus switch panel, navigation lights, NASA DSC VHF, Garmin GPS, NASA Clipper GPS Repeater, NASA Clipper Wind instrument, NASA Clipper combiner log and speed, cockpit VHF speaker.
Deck Equipment – 2 Lewmar 40 winches, 2 harken winches – both 2 speed, 2 winch handles, Spinlock halyard clutches, spinnaker pole with Harken ends (new 2007), Harken mainsheet system and traveller, Harken spinnaker ratchet blocks. Windows replaced 2007, Spinlock tiller extension, 2 halyard bags (2007).
Engine – Yamaha 5hp with separate tank. Serviced every year by Killen Marine.
Below Decks – 2 single berths with cushions and lee cloths, 2 pipe cots, marine toilet, gas cooker, chart table, interior lights.
Rigging – standing rigging replaced 2006. Running rigging replaced regularly and all in good condition.
Trailer – 4 wheel road trailer refurbished in 2005 including new hitch, new suspension with brakes, jockey wheel, mudguards and spare wheel. Light board.
Sundry Equipment – fenders, boat hook, anchor & warp, mooring lines, lifebelt and light, safety line, fire extinguisher, 1 fixed bilge pump, 1 moveable bilge pump. |
