Hi there, My girlfriend and I are looking into the possibility of buying a live-aboard. Before committing to this idea, we would like to try it out by renting a barge for a period of time from 3 months up to 1 year. Ideally, we would moor it in or close to Dublin. I have sailing and boat handling experience and work in the trades so am competent with upkeep and maintenance. We are both in our mid-thirties and work full-time. We are trustworthy, responsible and respectful adults. If you have any suitable boats or suggestions about where to rent live-aboards, we would be very grateful if y... read more

Converted to a mussel dredger in the early part of the last century by the Blommaert family in Zierikzee, the boat remained in Holland until the mid Eighties when it left the Dutch shores for its new home on the South West coast of Ireland where it operated as the T82 for a number of years.
