This beautiful 40 Iron Barge designed by Yarwoods UK and commissioned in 1898 has been well looked after and recent ultrasonic sounding show her to have a very good hull in excellent condition for her years.
Semi flat bottom with keel, new P3 Perkins engine in (2000), Fisher panda generator (2008) with full service records.
Quite an unique lady Rose is bursting with character at 40 with all the comforts of home and is just a perfect size for cruising the Inland Waterways of Ireland or estuary cruising.
Home comforts include generator, full size bath, washing machine, fridge, dryer, Rayburn Cooker, full domestic cooker, Hot Cold water, flat screen TV and much much more. Really needs to be viewed to be fully appreciated.

This is a 50ft X10ft barge converted 2007 it was used on the Oxford canal and was built around 1920. The layout consists of a master cabin with a full size double, a smaller cabin with bunk beds, a single cabin and a convertable seating area with a double 7 births in all. The barge is heated with a solid fuel stove and has ample seating in the saloon. The galley is made from native solid Sycamore, Oak and Bog Oak with a Belfast sink, there is a full size four ring gas cooker oven and grill also there is a 3 way 120L fridge freezer. The wheel house comfortably sits 6 to 8 people. The engine is a catepillar 110hp turbo diesel with only 1800 Hours on it and has just had a full over haul. There is a full 10 year survey available which was carried out in Oct 2008. we may concider a part exchange finance and delivery is also available. |
